Unidirectional plastic geogrid


Unidirectional plastic geogrid is a kind of high-strength reinforced geosynthetic material. It is made of polypropylene PP or polyethylene HDPE as raw material. It is made of plasticized extruded sheet, punched and stretched longitudinally.

Product Details


◎High one-way tensile strength, good creep resistance and stable chemical properties;

Construction method:

When used for subgrade and pavement, the construction method is the same as that of bidirectional geogrid.

When used for reinforced earth retaining wall, the construction method is as follows:

◎ Set the foundation, according to the design of the wall system for construction, when the selection of precast reinforced concrete panel, the general thickness of 12-15cm supported on the precast concrete foundation. Its width is not more than 30cm, its thickness is not less than 20cm, and its buried depth is not less than 60cm to prevent the influence of foundation frost heave.

◎ Level the wall foundation, excavate and level according to the design requirements. The soft soil shall be compacted or replaced to the required density, which shall be slightly beyond the scope of the wall surface.

◎ When laying reinforcement, the main strength direction of reinforcement shall be perpendicular to the wall and fixed with pins.

◎ The wall shall be filled with mechanical filling, and the distance between the wheel and the reinforcement shall be kept at least 15cm. After compaction, a layer of soil is about 20-15cm thick.

◎ During wall construction, the wall shall be covered with geotextile to prevent leakage of filling.

Unidirectional tensile geogrid is a kind of high strength geosynthetics. Widely used in dams, tunnels, docks, highways, railways, construction and other fields.

Its main uses are as follows:

Enhancing the subgrade can effectively distribute the diffusion load, improve the stability and bearing capacity of the subgrade, and extend the service life;

◎ Can withstand greater alternating load;

◎ Prevent subgrade deformation and cracking caused by the loss of subgrade materials;

◎ Improve the self-bearing capacity of the filling behind the retaining wall, reduce the earth pressure of the retaining wall, save costs, extend the service life, and reduce maintenance costs;

◎ Combined with shotcrete construction method for slope maintenance, not only can save 30%-50% of the investment, but also can shorten the construction period more than twice;

◎ The addition of geogrid in the roadbed and surface layer of the highway can reduce deflection, reduce rutting, delay the occurrence of cracks 3-9 times, and reduce the thickness of the structural layer by 36%;

◎ Suitable for all kinds of soil, no need to take materials from other places, saving labor and time;

The construction is simple and fast, can greatly reduce the construction cost.
